27 March 2020

Dear Valued Clients,

The Philippine government issued Proclamation Nos. 929 and  922 (s. 2020) and Republic Act No. 11332 and imposed the “Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) and the Stringent Social Distancing Measures (SSDM)” over the entire island of Luzon, including the National Capital Region, effective 12midnight of 17 March 2020 and expiring on 12midnight of 13 April 2020 following the sharp increase in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases throughout the country. The President also placed the whole country under a state of emergency.

Following these proclamations, we have temporarily closed our offices in the cities of Makati, Cauayan, and Cebu. All BDO partners and employees in these offices will work from home until the lifting of the said ECQ and SSDM by the government. In these unprecedented times, nothing is more important than ensuring the health and safety of our people, clients, and communities.

We have business continuity plans in place to allow us to operate with agility as we adapt to the consequences of COVID-19 with as little business disruption as possible. Our BDO teams can and do operate effectively from any location and will continue to deliver the highest level of service to you by leveraging technology.

We are committed to our clients during the COVID-19 pandemic and here to help. Please reach out to your BDO partner for any support you need as you navigate these challenging times. If you have any questions, you can also email us at [email protected] and [email protected].

We appreciate your support and understanding, and we apologize for any delay you may encounter in the event we are not able to respond to your request in a timely manner.

Stay safe and healthy, everyone.
